Obituary of Lesly Ann Straub

Loved life and especially her time with family. Lesly Ann Straub (nee Bird) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 31, 2016. She was born in Passaic, New Jersey to Eugene Thomas Bird and Lucille Dolores Bird (nee Kowalski). Lesly has always been dedicated to servicing others in the community. She was an avid volunteer at St. Joseph’s Church, Holly Manor Nursing Home and several soup kitchens. She attended Upsala College and Morris County College. She loved to be outdoors and everyone in town would see her running the streets of Mendham. She is survived by her husband Clifford H. Straub, Jr., three daughters: Stacy Keating and her husband Brad of Mendham; Susan DiGiacomo of Madison; and Kristen Stephan and her husband Paul of Fairhaven, one son Clifford “Kip” Straub and his wife Michele of Morristown. Kown as “Mammy”, she had a special bond with each of her 12 grandchildren: Megan, Kelly, Andrew, Tommy, Matthew, Lucas, Katie, Christian, Danny, Brittany, Jake and Emma. The family will receive visitors from 5 to 8pm at Bailey Funeral Home 8 Hilltop Rd. Mendham on Friday, September 2, 2016. A funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Joseph’s Church in Mendham. Interment Hilltop Cemetery.
