Dear Haarsgaard Family, My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have fond memories of starting my first years as a teacher in the Hilltop Kindergarten wing with Betty on my team. She was kind, warm, sincere, and always made me feel so very comfortable. Betty had that gift -- never passing judgement, accepting everyone, and making every child and adult around her feel comfortable and invited. Rest in peace. Love, Mollissa LeMay

We are so sad for your loss. Mrs. Haarsgaard taught our son Conor in first grade at Hilltop. Mrs. Haarsgaard taught Conor with kindness, humor and encouragement. We really appreciated it and Conor remembers her fondly. Mrs. Haarsgaard touched so many families in Mendham and was a wonderful teacher and person. She will be missed very much. Bob and Betty have been cherished friends for more than 1/2 our lives and virtually all of our married life. What a great woman, friend, wife and mother. We are richer for having had her a part of our life in all of the changes that have come during this time. Such great times and now memories. We'll carry a bit of Betty with us always, her laugh echoing along the way. Our warmest thoughts and prayers for all.

Betty was such a kind and gentle soul. She had a quick and sincere sense of humor with a wonderful laugh always at the ready. God has called her home so she can go back to the way she will always be remembered. A caring Mom, a loving wife and a really good friend to those who knew her.
