I knew Phillip for almost five years, and he had more of an influence on the trajectory of my life and career than he ever fully realized. I met Phillip when I was in my early 20s, his daughter Caitlin lived next door to me at the time. Phillip sort of took me under his wing in a way, and took time out to give me career advice. Phillip was so knowledgeable in Logistics and Warehouse Management, and I was just a forklift operator at the time. Under Phil's tutelage, I have since grown into the General Manager of a large trucking company. Phillip gave me the ins and outs of leadership, and always had a good piece of advice - even if it was advice I didn't want to hear! Phillip was so blunt and direct, he would make me laugh. I will miss his political rants, and his intellect. He influenced me and guided me, which is a special memory that I will never forget.
