To the O’Brien Family
I worked for Mr. O’Brien in the very early 80’s for many years at AT&T. He was by far my favorite boss in my career. I had the utmost respect for him and am saddened to learn of his passing, I know this weekend would’ve been his birthday and I always think of him during October He will forever be in my memory and I pray he rests in peace.

To the O'Brien family. John was a dear friend that I knew from NY Telephone Co. and AT&T. He helped me many times in my career. We had a special friendship and he was always there for me during tough times. I am sorry for your loss. He was a special person that always had forgiveness and understanding in his heart. He made an impact on my life and I am sadden to learn of his passing. He will be in my memory and prayers till it is my time to join him. My condolences and heart goes out to his family and loved ones. It was an honor to have known John and may God give him the peace that he deserves. May God give you the strength and understanding to cope with his passing.

We laid our father to rest today, likely the most painful moment in each of our lives. Yesterday's wake was indeed an Irish wake - a loud celebration of his life to which few can lay claim.
The only noise makers missing but certainly watching were Uncle Jer, Uncle George, Aunt Margaret and Uncles Bobby and Tommy. Our thoughts go to his sister Aunt Jane who is always in our thoughts.
Today's internment was more solemn. Can we ever say goodbye to Dad? We never will.
This day will end but our memory and life lessons of and from Dad will never.
As Johnny said on the pulpit, "a person's heart is not measured by the love they give, but by the love they received. So our father's heart was giant."

Dear Pat and Family,
I renew my condolences and prayerful wishes on John's passing. I always counted and you all as among my many blessings. I will always remember John coming into the Church with a gentle smile and words of good cheer. He was someone I felt I knew all my life. Time will pass quickly but the heart will never forget!

Dear Aunt Pat,
It is with a heavy heart that I write this. There are no words to express how truly sad and sorry I am for your loss. I wish I could be with you having a cup of tea and talking about all the great wonderful times we all had. I know this is an extremely hard time for you and the kids. But as I think of Uncle John I see him and my dad planning a prank on Nana and then laughing so hard they would be crying. I clearly still see that and hear that laugh that only those two shared. I know in my heart that Uncle John is now with my dad, mom & Nana catching up on everything that they have missed. I hope you find comfort knowing he is with his big brother. It feel like yesterday that I talked with Uncle John & he gave me his words of wisdom to ensure I did & had nothing but the best for my sister when she was sick. I will never forget how wonderful you both were to us. Our prayers, thoughts & love with you all.
Maureen, Michael and Marlina
