Obituary of Maryann LaPrete

Maryann LaPrete passed away peacefully on Feb. 24, 2014 at her home in Chester. She was 68. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Woodbridge, NJ before moving to Chester 40 years ago. Maryann was an avid horsewoman. She was also an animal lover. She worked as Customer Service/Dispatch employee for Christie Halsey Fuel Oil in Chester for over 30 years before she retired in 2009. She was predeceased by her parents John and Margaret LaPrete. Survivors include two sisters Donna Erickson of Upton, MA, and Theresa Stewart of St. Petersburg, FL, two brothers Frank LaPrete of Safety Harbor, FL and Kevin LaPrete of San Antonio, TX. She is also survived by her Aunt Rose Marie Pavlick, her best friend Judy Michaels and several nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday March 1, 2014 at St. Luke Parish, Long Valley at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Liberty Equine Rescue P.O. Box 447, Denville, NJ 07834 or HSUS 2100 L. St. NW, Washington, DC 20037, in her memory, would be appreciated. The Interment will be in Chester Congregational Church Cemetery at a later date.
