Woody was a great supporter of all sports at North Hunterdon. He also was an avid Jet fan for many years. I'll never forget the many, many great tailgate parties we had at The Meadowlands and the laughs and great we food we shared with him. Favorite words from us tailgaters at halftime when the Jets were usually losing were "Wood, time to light the grill!".
He was so proud of Chase, Kate and family. Woody, we're looking forward to the day when you host that great "Tailgate in the Sky".
Rest in peace good friend.

I had the privilege of working with Woody at the Legion tourney at NHHS this summer, as did many of the parents and boys on the NH Green Team. We had alot of fun with Woody that weekend especially while making the hot dogs. Woody was a wonderful giving person with boundless energy. He will be be sorely missed!

All the years spent working and helping the kids playing baseball in Clinton! Filming the Jr Lions Games.. He lived to volunteer his time and loved being around the team! Clinton Knights and Pyramid League Baseball will never be the same!.. Memories.. Wood, the LAST one to leave Limmys HS Graduation party...at 4am!.. His famous Beer Tube Steaks! His favorite response.. "That's what SHE said.."

Woody.....We are going to miss you sitting in the dugout, keeping the book, and I will miss your calls to check stats and see if it was a hit or an error, or how to score a play...I will miss your smile, and your caring about kids, they way you always had a nice thing to say about players...You were a class act..I will miss the rides to games with you talking baseball and life in general, and I will miss you humor and the way you cared about helping others....you were a once in a lifetime kind of guy to know, and I was grateful to be counted as one of your friends....see you sometime my friend....I am sure there are leagues where you are going that could use a good man... loveya, Lowell

We were so sad to hear of Woody's passing. We have very fond memories of Legion baseball. Woody's love of the game and especially the boys will never be forgotten. Many good times and laughs were shared. And of course we will never forget his famous beer tube steaks! RIP Woody. Legion baseball will never be the same. You will truly be missed.
