Obituary of William West Ellsworth
William W. Ellsworth of Tewksbury, NJ, died on Oct. 9, 2012. He was 52.
Born in Morristown, he lived in Bedminster before moving to Tewksbury in 1997.
He was a graduate of the Suffield Academy in CT and attended the University of Vermont.
Mr. Ellsworth was a licensed pilot from the age of 15. He received his Commercial Airline Pilots License at the age of 21. He was a Flight Instructor at American Flyers in Long Valley and was a Charter and Corporate pilot for Pan Am from 1988 until 1993. In 1993 he joined American Airlines.
He was a member of the Somerset Hills Country Club and was a past board member.
He was extremely passionate about golf and flying but nothing was more important to him than his family. His family will remember him as an amazing husband, father, son, brother and uncle who was best known for his good sense of humor and his good nature.
Survivors include his parents Duncan and Molly Ellsworth, his wife Patricia Wheeler of Tewksbury, one daughter Eliza Ellsworth and one son Harry Ellsworth, one sister Esther Miller of VT and one brother Steuart Ellsworth of Long Valley. He is also survived by 3 sisters in law, 2 brothers in law and 8 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday Oct 13, 2012 at 11:00am at St. Bernards Episcopal Church, 88 Claremont Rd., Bernardsville, NJ.
