Greg was a good neighbor, friend, and Christian. We will always remember how he fearlessly plowed out our driveway after heavy snow storms at our old home in Brookside. He and Mary Jane were extraordinarily kind to our parents in their declining years. Our prayers go out to Mary Jane, Susan, Geoff, and family. God bless you, Greg. Rest in peace. Greg was such a pillar in our square dance club....always quiet but full of information and compassion, whether it was experienced dancers or new ones, just learning, gently leading them in the right direction. We will always be grateful for him and MaryJane's patience with us as they took us to several area clubs during our first summer so we could improve our dancing skills. They were both so willing to help our new students by coming every week to be "angels" for our new students. Now Heaven has received this true angel. Both Greg and MaryJane were the club's faithful servants in handling the donations to the local food bank. They also generously housed out-of-town square dance callers to make it easier for those callers to visit our club and call for us. You will be missed Greg, by all those who knew and loved you.

I will always remember Greg as a warm friendly gentle man who along with Mary Jane welcomed us into the Reelers square dancing community. We will miss him but know he's in a better place. Our sympathy goes out to Mary Jane and their family.

Kathy & Dick McFarlane posted a condolence
Dear Mary Jane, Susan and Greg,
Richard saw the notice about Greg and forwarded it to me this evening. We are so sorry about Greg's passing. When we think of him we remember his quiet, modest nature, his expertise with all things mechanical, and his dedication to walking, even in severe weather. And, of course, he absolutely saved us by bringing his snow plow to our house and scraping the snow and ice off our enormous driveway in the fierce winter of '78. I think we would have been stranded for weeks without his assistance.
We send our love and sympathy at this tender time of parting and know that your faith in God with sustain you.
Love, Kathy & Dick McFarlane
