Obituary of Ethan T Klausner
Ethan Theodore Klausner, 75, passed away on July 2, 2024. Born in Roslyn, NY, to parents Albert and Lenore (Kaplan) Klausner, Ethan graduated from Syracuse University in 1970 with a bachelor's degree in economics.
Ethan was a passionate supporter of his alma mater, particularly the lacrosse team. He played, mentored players, and went to as many games as he could when he wasn’t at a youth game. He loved to coach kids and was fondly referred to as “Coach Gramps”.
He founded and operated Klausner Enterprises for 23 years after working for many distinguished retailers in an executive management capacity. In his free time, Ethan took great pride in maintaining a perfectly manicured lawn, which he cut several times a week, and was in the yard almost daily.
Ethan is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Klausner; his son and daughter in law David and Christina Klausner; his daughter, Melissa Klausner; his sister, Susan O’Brien; and his grandchildren, Michael, Max, Jamie, Jackie, and Bryce as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Eli Klausner.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 5, at 11 AM at Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Road, Mendham, immediately followed by interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ethan’s memory may be made to the Syracuse University Men’s Lacrosse.
