Dear Linda and family: hi I’m Erin! Although my time of knowing Ethan was short, it was incredibly impactful! And I want you all to know he got me through some really rough moments. From panic attacks , to just being annoyed about how my life was. We laughed a lot- and in the situation that we were in, it wasn’t at all funny, but we made the best of it on MWF! We talked about so many things- religion, politics, family, health, life… and I miss those talks, I truly do .
I want you all to know, that he loved you all so much! His children and his beloved grandchildren. I think I know more about lacrosse then his I ever thought I would. And Linda- you were and always will be the love and light of his life. I know that. I just wish I had gotten to hear him say “See ya later, Kid” one more time.
I learned of his passing a few days after I received , “Harold”my new kidney. I received him on July 1st. I wish I could have gotten to see Ethan after I got Harold. I know he would have been happy for me because we talked a lot about that too! He touched my heart!
Please accept my deepest condolences. And know that Ethan was someone who helped me in a time when I was scared and felt alone- he made those days bearable. And the kindness he shared to me will forever be part of me.
