Obituary of Frederick Charles Mueller
Frederick Charles Mueller passed away at his home on April 15, 2024. He was 83 years old.
Born in Neptune, NJ, to parents Frederick Mueller and Evelyn Buhler Mueller, Frederick was raised in Seagirt, NJ, before moving to the Pottersville and Far Hills area in which he has resided since 1971. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Gladstone.
Fritz attended and graduated from Lehigh University in 1962 and quickly began work at the family business, Mueller Brothers Florist in Newark, NJ. He worked in sales at the company his father began, eventually took it over, and worked until his retirement in 2020. He dedicated nearly 60 years to his family’s business. He was a member of Essex Hunt Club and former member of the Somerset Hills Country Club and the Coral Beach Club for many years. He loved cooking and entertaining, enjoying every moment spent with his family and friends. He was a gifted painter, enjoyed boating and waterskiing in his youth and was a huge Yankee’s fan later in life.
Fritz is preceded in death by his loving wife of 22 years, Lynne Mueller, and his daughters Melanie and Margot. He is survived by daughters Tracey (Scott) Biedron, Carolyn (Seppi) von Meister, son Robert (Carla) Mueller, sisters Karen (Hugo) Barth, Sheila (Richard) Graham, Linda Campbell, and grandchildren Schuyler, Nick, Natalie, Alex, Will, Johana, Charlotte, Sebastian, and Alexandra.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 15, at 11AM at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 182 Main St, Gladstone, NJ 07934. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Luke’s Church or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
