Valerie and I were classmates from fourth grade through high school, and lived in the same neighborhood in Glenwood Landing. She was always a person of note and a friend to everyone. An absolute delight to know. I enjoyed reconnecting with her just a few weeks before her passing as we found each other somehow on Facebook. She was kind enough to share her history with me and I passed along my notes as well to fill her in. We meet few people in our lives that we remember forever and I am pleased to say this was a lady well remembered. God bless the family and , God bless Valerie. Memories are like a savings account in that they pay dividends forever.!

We met Valerie when we joined St. Luke’s Church in Gladstone about 10 years ago. She was such an active participant and inspiration in what it means to be dedicated to God’s work within the church. When my mother was ill and homebound, she tirelessly visited her as part of the shut in ministry, where we would talk of our mutual love of Mendham and LBI and her devotion to her grandchildren. What an amazing woman, who always found the time to say, “ oh, there’s the Burke’s”. About three weeks before she died and was in hospice care, I dropped off some hydrangea to her from my garden and was surprised and amazed that about a week later, she sent me a thank you email! Sincere sympathy to her entire family and may God continue to bless you with all the wonderful memories.She will be very missed.

Valerie is one of the most amazing women, I have ever known. Met her through St. Luke’s several years ago after becoming involved with the Lector program. Her dedication to St. Luke’s, love of life and smile will stay with me always. God Bless Valerie and may she continue to guide us from Heaven. Love, Bobby Mueller

Valerie was a beautiful person who will be missed dearly. While we only knew Valerie for a short time, we considered her a true friend. We were fortunate to have spent many pleasant days with Valerie at the Four Seasons pool sharing memories and engaging in great conversations while getting to know one another.
