Obituary of Albert A. Seals

Albert A. "Al" Seals died suddenly on Nov. 3, 2011 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He was 65. Born in Morristown, to the late Orville Seals and Cathrine Vivartis, he was a lifelong resident of Long Valley. Al was a proud Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the India Company 3rd Battalion 9th Marines. He was highly decorated, receiving two purple hearts, The Navy Commendation Medal, two Presidential Unit Citations along with a dozen other Medals, Ribbons and Stars. He was also instrumental in the fundraising and placing of the Larry Macey Memorial in Chester, NJ. He was a Master Mason of Foxhill Limited in Long Valley, NJ from 1974 to present. Al was a loving husband and devoted father who will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother Morgan Bennett Seals and his parents. Survivors include his wife Mary Ann (Bartek) Seals, one son Andrew M. Seals, one daughter Natasha Seals, and two brothers Richard Seals of High Bridge and John Seals of Middle Valley. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3-7pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main St., Peapack. Funeral Mass Monday 11:30am at St. Luke Parish in Long Valley. Cremation will be private.
