My heart goes out to the Seals family at their loss of "Al"...husband, father and friend.
Although I knew Al for only too brief a time I knew a man of honor, humour and heart. We will all miss him.
We will say a special prayer for him this Veterans Day. He was one of a kind.

Our hearts are breaking for you. Flipper excelled at everything in his life but the role he embraced fervently was his role as a husband and father. Andrew and Natasha, I hope you know how much of your parents you have in both of you. You have made both your parents proud. Everyone who knew Flipper learned one thing about him right away - he had the best sense of humor. When a particular day gets tough, think about something he said or did (or prank he pulled) and smile to the great memories you have shared.
Your Marine Corp Family will always be there for all of you.
Love Joe and Pat Lempa

To Als family, I am so sorry for your loss. I just learned of Als passing from Bob Newman a fellow Marine. We all trained in Platoon 344 at Parris Island in 1967. His passing is sad sad news at such a young age. He was a good MArine.
