I have been good friends with Prashant for the last 13 years, but I can't say I knew his father well - we probably only met once or twice while he moved Prashant in and out of the dorms at Northwestern. You would only need to spend a fraction of that time with Prashant though, to realize that his father must be a great man. He will be sorely missed and dearly remembered. If our lasting legacy and gift to the world is our children, then we should all strive to make such a contribution as he has.
