James G. Dwyer passed away on January 12, 2022. He was 88 years old.
Born in Orange, CT, to parents David and Bertha (Connolly) Dwyer, Jim traveled and lived all over the world. He built companies in various countries around the globe during his career with Warner Lambert Pharmaceutical Co. After spending over a decade living in Ireland, Italy and England due to his work, he and his family settled in Mendham, NJ.

Jim and his late wife, Sandra, were founding members of the Westmont Montessori School in Mendham 57 years ago. Adventurous and looking for opportunity, Jim and Sandy moved to Bergamo, Italy, to study the Montessori method of education. While over there, Jim continued to work for Warner Lambert, traveling the world to expand its General Diagnostics global presence, and after 12 years, Jim and his family returned to New Jersey.
Upon their return, Jim followed his entrepreneurial spirit and started his own company. He worked for almost 30 years running a medical underwriting company, EMSI, which provided services for the insurance and corporate industries. During his tenure, he co-founded the New Jersey Venture Association where he dedicated time to helping people pursue their business ventures.
In his free time, Jim enjoyed traveling, music, gardening, writing poetry and being social with his many well-loved friends and beloved dog, Seamus.
