Obituary of Judith C. VanDerSluys

Judith C. VanDerSluys died peacefully at her home in Lebanon, NJ, on February 5, 2009, surrounded by her family. She was 59. Born in Paterson, NJ to Burton and Florence Colwell, she lived in Mt. Olive and Morristown before moving to Lebanon, NJ. Judy was a graduate of Indian Hills High School in Oakland, NJ, and was a 1994 Graduate of County College of Morris. She also attended Fairleigh Dickenson University where she studied marketing. She worked as a Project manager for AT&T in Bedminster for the last 18 years. Judy spent many summers with her family at the beach both at Bethany Beach, DE and Long Beach Island, NJ. She also enjoyed travel and theater. Her family will remember her as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 40 years George W. VanDerSluys of Lebanon, two children Eric VanDerSluys of Bound Brook, NJ and his wife Debi and Cynthia Patkochis of Lebanon and her husband Scott. She is also survived by her 4 cherished grandchildren Christopher, Alexis, Eric and Lauren. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd. Mendham. Funeral Service 4pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the ASPCA, in her memory, would be appreciated. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
