I have so many memories and stories about Mr. Ackerman. A few years ago we were on a golf trip. I was shaking his hand, Mike looked at me and said, Sean you are a grown man, please call me Mike. Mike had a big influence on my life. Thank you for being you and treating me like one of your own. You will be missed. Slainte

Fair well dear friend! Friend since the 50ies.You met The love of your life When we were students together at nursing school And then we became friends forever. Mike was a very good friend. We traveled to many wonderful places with Mike and Peg. We played golf, went out to dinner often, played cards, and until 2018 despaired of the Eagles ever winning the Super Bowl. We shall miss him very much. Rene and Rita Steigerwalt

I learned to appreciate the many fine qualities of Mike Ackerman the man during the time, all too brief, when he was my Vice President at Mendham Seniors. Peggy, Michael, Betsy, Susan, Tim, Carol and Jonathan, I am so sorry for the loss of your wonderful husband and father. He was truly a special person and was a major influence in my life. I first met you all ice skating at the Mendham Pool. I soon became “The Babysitter” and loved every minute I spent with your family. When I was in high school, Mike appointed me to the Recreation Committee and the Mayor’s Youth Committee. In 1980 we were honored when he performed our wedding ceremony. He was an outstanding member of the town he loved and an inspiration to everyone he met. Most importantly, he was a man that loved his wife and children.. family was everything. Our deepest sympathy and all our love, Sharon and Paul Farrell

To All the Ackerman Family...Please accept our deepest condolences.Mr.Ackerman was a great great friend to my Mom and Dad.I have many fond memories of them all together at the "gourmet" club dinners.
