Dearest Shirley and Children,
Our hearts are broken. Russ, Betty and Shirley are very dear to us. We live across the street from “ Our Russ” Our youngest Peter worked in their yard at Pine Hill for several years from High School thru college. No parent could wish for a better “mentor” for their son. Dapper, intelligent, hard working,and possessing such a strong personnel sense of integrity,I believe he passed theses qualities on to Peter as they worked side by side at Russ’s beloved Pine Hill. These qualities were matched by Betty and Shirley, loving and strong women. Russ was so lucky to have these women in his life.The times we would meet while we all did yard work was a delight. Russ was an elegant gentleman and charmer. So proud of his family, home, and yard. The times that the Rose’s , Buchanan’s and Jabbour’s had dinner together are etched in our memories..
We are both so grateful to have known and loved him. Our son Peter had a son/ grandfather relationship in which Peter has been forever changed by Russ’s wisdom, determination to do everything with purpose and perfection with a kind and patient teaching approach. There is no one like Russ. He is a “One of a Kind” man
Dearest Russ Rest In Peace and Joy. You blessed our lives with friendship. We will miss our quintessential gentleman and dear dear friend.
