I was so sorry to read about Fred's passing and that he was buried last week. I thought of him often and wondered how he was doing since I had not seen him in church for awhile. He was always dressed so nicely with a jacket and tie every time I saw him at Mass. Fred and his lovely wife Helen (who passed away in 2010) were the very first people to welcome me at St. Joe's when I started in July 2008. Fr. Joe had me introduce myself briefly after each mass one weekend and the Anzalone's came up to me after Mass to introduce themselves and wish me well in my new position as Director of Religious Education. Their kind daughter, Nancy was a Catechist. The Anzalone's were always very supportive of our Religious Education Program and encouraged me in that ministry all the time. May Fred rest in eternal peace in the loving arms of Jesus. We will miss you, my friend.
