Obituary of Casey A Lohne
Casey A. Lohne passed away suddenly on July 5, 2019 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 18 years young.
Born in Voorhees, but he lived in Medford his entire life. Casey was a 2019 graduate of Shawnee High School and had plans to attend Salisbury State University in Maryland in the fall.
Casey was active with sports and school spirit at Shawnee and in the community. He was a manager of the Shawnee football team who were State Champions in 2018 & 2019. Casey was very proud to be a part of the team and wore his championship ring with honor. He also participated in winter and spring track and field. Additionally, Casey played street hockey in Marlton and flag football in Medford for many years before becoming a referee and umpire for MYAA sports.
Casey will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul who was loved by kids, teachers, coaches, friends and family. He always wore a smile and a sports team jersey, with the Philadelphia Eagles and The Ohio State University being his favorites.
He is survived by his parents Craig and Beth (Burnett) Lohne of Medford, one brother Aidan of Medford, Grandmother Bettie (Mimi) Campbell, Great grandmother Genevieve (Nanny) Kelly, Aunt Kristin (Sissa-Godmother) O’Dowd, Uncle Chris O’Dowd, Uncle Stephen Burnett and Aunt Kathy Burnett, Uncle Nicholas Burnett and Aunt Amy Ellis, Uncle Patrick Campbell and Aunt Melanie Campbell, Aunt Kelly Gosnear and Uncle Mike Gosnear, Aunt Sharon Smeltzer and Uncle Joe (Godfather) Smeltzer, Aunt Susan Liden. Cousins: Nicky, Josh & Elijah Smeltzer, Kayleigh & Brianna O’Dowd, Justin, Brittany & Oliver Burnett, Connor Campbell, Bridget, Finnigan & Maeve Burnett, and countless extended cousins and family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday July 11, 2019 from 4-8pm in Fellowship Hall at The Fellowship Alliance Chapel , 199 Church Rd, Medford, NJ, 08055. https://www.myfac.org/ A Celebration of Casey’s life will take place at 7:30pm. In keeping with Casey’s spirit and love of sports, attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite professional, college, Shawnee, or MYAA jersey or colors. The interment will be private in the Parkview Cemetery at Kirby’s Mill on Friday. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations made to the Shawnee End Zone Club, P.O.
