Dad,
Just want to let you know that you are my HERO--and always will be! Thank you for instilling in me a love of the outdoors--and activities such as bicycle riding, hiking, swimming, camping (even in a canvas umbrella tent!!!) and gardening. I will always remember the example you set for me and my siblings by being ready, able and willing to help anyone in need, e.g., being a volunteer fireman or assisting a driver experiencing car problems, or helping an elderly person cross the street safely. I enjoyed having you as a partner whenever I fostered yet another dog and admired the way you treated them with such love and compassion. I will try to honor your memory by emulating these qualities. Many people commented that you reminded them of a certain movie star--but for me you were and will continue to be my shining star! Thank you for being such a good father! I look forward to our joyous reunion in Heaven with the rest of our family.
