Obituary of Joseph T. Mongno
Joseph Trullo Mongno passed away on January 28, 2019. He was 71 years old.
Born in Somerville, NJ, Joseph grew up in and was a lifelong resident of Peapack. He graduated from Bernard’s High School and served in the United States Navy. He was a parishioner of St. Brigid Church as well as a local business owner, operating and managing Willow Lane Landscaping Co. for more than 36 years.
Joseph was an avid hunter and fisher who loved spending time outdoors. He spent his Friday nights having dinner with his friends and cherished the time spent with them. His dogs were incredibly special to him, but the most important to Joseph was his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, brother, uncle, grandpa, and friend.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Kathy, his daughters Tia, Andrea and Joey, son-in law Adam, granddaughter Ava, brothers Larry and Steven Mongno and all of his friends who will miss him dearly.
A Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, February 2, at 11:30 AM at St. Brigid Church, 129 Main St, Peapack NJ 07977. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph’s memory can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
