My association with Bob was during the "halcyon" years of ATT Consumer Products. He was a man of stature--physically and by personal example. He was a voice of sanity in a world that was crazy at times. He had a sense of humor where many took themselves too seriously. He kept his promises. He was a good man.

Bob and I have been best friends for so many years. It's very difficult to process all he meant to me and to my family on the west coast. Bob helped me with my career and life, that led me from Oregon to New Jersey to London and back. He always told me that I could be anything that I wanted to be. And so it was. He challenged me in so many ways. When we both fell in love with our mates...Julie and Christopher...we celebrated that with Thanksgiving and fun stuff. I love you Bob and always will. See you Sunday. Darolyn

Julie, I am so very sorry for your loss. I wish I could be in NJ on Sunday to say goodbye in person. Bob was a colleague who was a key influence during my career with Consumer Products. He was a favorite leader, mentor and friend. His ability to diffuse, without rancor, a contentious situation in an SBU meeting was a lesson I carried successfully in other jobs. I valued his instant humor that was so often dry-witted and fun – never mean-spirited. Those memorable trips to Phoenix, CES shows in Las Vegas and Chicago and the special event in San Francisco hold many memories that I reflect back on with pleasure. I will miss him.

Bob will never be forgotten by the many friends he acquired during his days at AT&T CP. And I am one of them. His reach was HUGE; both figuratively and factually.
He was a leader, a confidant, but most of all, Bob was a true friend.

My sincere sympathy to the Wonsetler family. I had the pleasure of working with Bob as an admin. during my days at AT&T at 5 Wood Hollow. He was one of the greatest bosses to work with. Always smiling, kind, pleasant and witty - a true gentleman. He will surely be missed.

I will always remember "Uncle Bob" as the gentle giant of my youth and the gentleman I came to know as an adult. Your absence leaves a hole in the family that will always remain, especially at Christmas. Thanks for all the great holiday memories -- good luck in the next race.

My sincerest condolences to the entire Wonsetler family.
Some of my happiest memories of consumer products are when I think of my golfing partner and the never ending laughter we enjoyed together.
Thanks Bob

JULIE,
My sincerest condolences to you and the family. I had the pleasure of being Bob's administrative assistant while at CP. He was a wonderful person to work with and for. May he be in Heaven a half hour before the devil knows he's dead.
