Dearest Lottie, Irene, Ursula, and Family,
Words will never express what I am feeling. Please look and listen to my heart and you will see and hear the love I have for Elaine. I am fortunate that Elaine came to my life. From her, I learned a lot. Her love was expressed in actions. She adored her nephews.
I will miss her dearly; yet find solace that Elaine is in heaven where she is no longer limited and encumbered by her physical body. She now moves with ease and grace with Jesus, the Blessed Virgin Mother Mary, and all the angels and saints. She is peaceful and happy. I hope you find solace and tranquility that Elaine is present in our hearts.
Our loving thoughts and prayers are with you always.

Dearest Family of Elaine,
Words cannot express my deepest sympathy and sadness for the loss of Elaine ... she is and will be missed dearly. Many memories fill my mind as I think of Elaine. I remember many years ago, when I first met Elaine and I spontaneously, lovingly called her Queen Bee. She smiled and told me how others in her life have also called her by this name. In her ways, Elaine was a Queen. But most of all, Elaine was an Angel walking amongst us on Earth! Elaine was Enlightened and of all her great virtues it was her Kindness that overflowed, even as she endured this disease. Elaine touched many people's lives as a loved one, as a friend, as a physician, as an Enlightened one, as an Angel. I believe Elaine will continue to touch our lives from the heaven's above, where Peace is with her. I Love You Elaine, 'kido'

Dear Ursula, Matt, Glenn, and the rest of the family. I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. Elaine was a very brave, caring, and loving woman. Ursula, I will be eternally grateful to your sister. Even though she was battling her own war with cancer, she was willing to help my dad with his war with cancer. It takes a special person to still want to give to others while she herself is fighting to stay alive. Remember what I told you as I watched my dad lose his fight, he reached up to Heaven and peacefully went with the Lord. I know Elaine is in Heaven now with your Dad and with Jesus. I hope you find peace in knowing that she is no longer suffering and is sharing in the Lord's Love. God Bless all of You and please give your mom a big hug and kiss from me. No parent should ever have to bury their child. We love you,

Joe Manfredi posted a condolence
I always smile when I think back on how Elaine and I met. Over the 1986 Christmas Holiday, I briefly dated one of Elaine's friends and she, one of mine. It was one of life’s prominent coincidences, but it destined us to meet. Our respective dating relationships lasted about a week and a half: our ensuing friendship, lasted twenty four years.
Elaine and I had an immediate friendship. We spoke easily and naturally: we understood each other completely. We shared similar goals; her becoming a doctor and I a lawyer. Our minds were both naturally curious and we had long talks about our shared interests in skiing, travel, medicine, law and most importantly, life itself. In those moments when we spoke, the rest of the world fell away.
I have countless warm memories of Elaine’s friendship. When I was sick; she called. When I advanced in my career; she always complimented me. When I simply wanted to speak; she listened. I did the same for her.
I also knew that Elaine had a deep love for her family, especially her sisters and nephews. They were never far from her thoughts and I always noticed her smile when she spoke of them.
Grief is the price we pay for love and friendship. In Elaine’ loss, I now know the truth of that statement.
From today on, when I think of Elaine, I will think of the words Shakespeare wrote so long ago:
When she shall die,
Take her and cut her out into little stars
And she will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with the Night
And pay no worships to the garish sun

Elaine was a powerful inspiration to me. How many, like I, were lifted from
self pity and despair by the
thoughts of her courageous and relentless battle for life. A life she found filled with wonder and beauty.
with charm and love. She recognized that her life was worth far more than the price
she paid in exhaustion and pain. She personified beauty,
strength and intelligence and
our loss is Heaven's great, great gain. May God Bless and

Dear Lottie, Irene, Ursala, My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Elaine was a wonderful person. I admired her and what she accomplished in her all too short life. I smile when I think of her. She touched my life. This poem helped me in my time of grief, I hope that you find some solice in the words:
I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I'm following the path God has laid you see. I took His hand when I heard Him call. I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day. To Laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void. Then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss. Oh yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much. Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee. God wanted me now; He set me free!
God bless you Elaine and may you rest in peace.
