Obituary of Harry J Pinto, Jr.

Mendham Township -- Harry J. Pinto, Jr. passed away at home on June 13, 2016 only weeks after losing his beloved wife Adrienne after a marriage of 35 years. He was 76. Born in Morristown to the late Madeline (Pisapia) and Harry J. Pinto, Sr., he had lived in Morristown before moving to the Mendhams in 1968. Harry was a 1957 graduate of Delbarton School and received his A.B. from Princeton University in 1961. He received a LL.B. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1964. Harry had been practicing law in Morristown since 1965, working with a number of partners over the years. He was a longtime member of the Rotary Club of the Mendhams. He served as President for the years 1983-84 and 2010-11. His family will remember him as a generous, thoughtful, and loving husband, father, and brother who loved to garden and feed the birds while finding ways to outsmart neighborhood deer, squirrels, and just before his passing, bear. He was always the best host, companion at Yankee games, and amateur history professor. He loved to travel and share his knowledge of wine and food. He is survived by his son Joe and his wife Andrea, his daughter Stephanie and her fiancé Mario Favorito, his sister Judith Danco, his brother Richard J. Pinto and his wife Jean, and many other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Road, Mendham www.baileyfuneral.com on Friday, June 17, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral mass will celebrate his life, and be held at St. Mary’s Abbey (Delbarton) on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 2 PM. A private cremation will follow at a later date.
