Obituary of Angelo J. Errico

Far Hills - Angelo J. Errico died on Friday, May 1, 2009 at Care One - Madison in Morristown after a long illness. He was 85. Born in San Rufo Italy to the late Carmine and Antonia (Pagano) Errico on October 12, 1923, he was a resident of Short Hills before moving to Far Hills in 1972. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army from 1943 until 1945. He was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth's R. C. Church in Far Hills for many years. Mr. Errico was a 1947 graduate of Seton Hall University. He was proud of his Catholic faith, and was a strong supporter of the Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Linwood. He was predeceased by seven of his siblings, and his wife Mary Joan Linke Errico who died in 1954. Mr. Errico is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Rosa Patricia Murphy Errico, his son Robert C. Errico and his wife Corinne of Short Hills; two daughters, Denise E. Duffy and her husband Lawrence of Far Hills, and Maureen R. Errico of Los Angeles; his sister Ann DiCarlo of Far Hills, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are by the Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main Street, Peapack, NJ 07977. (908) 234-0590. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, May 3, 2009 from 2-5 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth's R. C. Church on Peapack Road in Far Hills at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 4, 2009. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. A private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory would be appreciated to the Missionaries of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, 2249 Shore Road, Linwood, NJ 08221.
