Obituary of Angelo Ferraro

Mendham Twp – Angelo G. Ferraro passed away at Morristown Memorial Hospital on Thursday, November 2, 2017. He was 79.

Born in Brooklyn to the late Gaetano and Rose (Dima) Ferraro, he had lived in Staten Island before moving to Mendham 20 years ago.

Mr. Ferraro was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1959 to 1965, and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant.

He was the Senior Vice President of Insurance and Risk Management for Twin County Grocers in Edison before his retirement. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s R. C. Church in Mendham for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Maria Elena (Esposito), his son Thomas and his wife Andrea, his daughter Lisa Martinez and her husband David, two sisters, Antoinette Ferraro and Dorothea Polera, seven grandsons, Andrew, Jordan, Brandon, Matthew, Leon, Justin, and Marlon, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be at the funeral home in Mendham on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church on West Main Street in Mendham on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10:30 AM. Private cremation and interment will follow at a later date at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested by the family in memory of Angelo to the Mendham Boro First Aid Squad and/or to the Mendham Township First Aid Squad. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
