Obituary of Edith G. Wade

Edith G Wade died on Oct. 11, 2009 at Franciscan Oaks in Denville. She was 94. Born in Netcong. NJ to the late Michael C. and Mary Gallo she lived in Budd Lake Chester and Mendham before moving to Denville 4 years ago. Mrs. Wade graduated in 1937 from The NJ College for Woman and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She was active in St. Jude's Church serving as Choir Director. She later became a member of St. Brigid Church in Peapack and then St. Joseph Church in Mendham. She was also active in the Delbarton Mother's Guild and served as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Welkind Hospital for Multiple Sclerosis. Her husband Thomas V. Wade died in 1981. Survivors include one son Michael Wade and his wife Patricia of Chester, one daughter Jospehine Cashen and her husband John of St. Helena's Island, SC; one sister Angela Wade of Fellowship Village, Basking Ridge, five grandchildren Jennifer Kimbel and her husband Mike of Denver. CO, Thomas Wade adnd his wife Sheri of San Clemente, CA, Claire Ventura of Canton, GA, David Cashen and his wife Elizabeth of Bradenton, FL, and Brian Wade and his wife Samantha of Netcong. She is also surcvived by her 6 great grandchildren, Samantha, Natalie and Skyler Ventura, Alex Kimbel and Madeline and Lucie Cashen. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. Funeral Mass 10:00am Thursday at St. Joseph Church Mendham. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge.
