Very sad to hear of Paul's passing. We were good friends as teenagers but fell out of touch.
We spent many nights just sitting in my car and talking and laughing. (and smoking and eating French fries)
He was very smart and gentle and an amazing guitar player.
My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I'm very sorry to hear about Paul. We were very close in grammar school, through high school and my 20s, with lots of great memories throughout those years. He was always funny and reflective about life, laughing at the little things that so many other people either took for granted or didn't realize were so funny. Paul was also one of the smartest people I've never known, in terms of both classical knowledge but also practical knowledge. He had an amazingly wide range of interests and was genuinely fascinated by so much. He's also one of the most honest, true people I've ever known.
Unfortunately I hadn't seen him in over 10 years but always thought we'd have a chance to do things together again. Hearing about his death is crushing and my condolences to out to his family and other friends.
