Obituary of Agnes Murphy

Agnes M. Murphy died on Sept. 17, 2009 at her home in Mendham. She was 75. Born and raised in Hoboken, she lived in Weehawken for many years before moving to Mendham in 2002. Mrs. Murphy was a clerk for the Passionist Missionaries in Union City for 40 years, where she met her beloved husband, Vincent. He died in 2000. Her family will remember her as a loving wife and mother. Her grandchildren and her family were her life. Her kindness and generosity brought her many friends, and she will be truly missed by many. Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Vollmuth and her husband, Eric, of Mendham, and Ann Dunlap and her husband, Jeff , of Fort Wayne, IN. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren Matthew, Lauren and Aidan Vollmuth and Elizabeth Dunlap. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-5pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham.
