My sincere condolences to Bob and the entire family. Mrs. Fulling was an important presence in my years at St. Mary of the Snow, not just as the mother of my friend Bob but as a teacher and person of great faith. I know she filled this role for many others, including my siblings and touched many lives. Warm regards, Henry

I am thankful to have had Mrs. Fulling as my kindergarten teacher more than 30 years ago. I can still remember our field trip to her house and going to the river. I will remember her fondly. May God bless her and all of you in her family.

Frank, MaryEllen and extended families,
Holding you all close in our hearts. We were saddened to hear the news of your Mom's passing, yet brought many smiles of Fulling family memories along the Hudson River. Although long ago chapters in our lives, they were very formative years. Your Mom though we may not have known it at the time, was one of the guardian angels keeping us safe as we found our way through the high school years. Loved to watch her quietly crack a smile. Thinking of you all and sending hugs! God Bless Mrs. Fulling.

Dear Mary, Frank, & Rob-
So many thoughts rushed into my mind, from what is already decades ago. Time.... How does that happen?
I'm sorry for your loss. Your Mom is your Mom.....period. You will have a hole in your hearts, and time will allow that to " be different". Not necessarily heal, simply "be different"
Was thinking of Leo Buscaglia, who is also affectionately known as Dr. Love. He authored a children's book entitled "Leo the Fallen Leaf" . So often, we adults can also learn from child-like lessons. He encouraged us to gather up our memories.....the red hot ones, the blazing yellow ones, the mellow orange ones......and allow them to nourish our hearts. For as long as someone we love is remembered in our hearts, their memory will never die.
One of Buscaglis's quotes is....“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” I thought this quote described your Mom. At St. Mary's, with your Mom, the rules were the rules, and we all knew it!!! However, when we would pull up in the boat, to the home on the Hudson, she was always warm and welcoming. We should all have an attitude of gratitude for the memories our families allowed us to have. It was indeed a different time.
Please accept our sympathy, and I encourage you to use me as a resource in the days ahead. Myself and my brother may not have all the answers, but we will certainly put our heads together to assist you, if you have questions or concerns. We know those Saugerties root run deep!
We will have a Mass said at our home parish of St. Francis de Sales in Phoenicia for your Mom.
Keeping you in our thoughts & prayers,
mark & mary
ps...Whenever I hear the Dan Fogelberg song "Longer" I remember you & Neil's wedding at St. Mary of the Snow......wow.....talk about Throw back Thursdays......
Another - old lang syne.... Great memories :) sending our love..............
