Obituary of Elizabeth Cillo

Elizabeth (Betty) Cillo died peacefully on September 5, 2009 at Belvedere Commons in Hermitage, Tennessee. She was 91. Born in Brooklyn, New York August 24, 1918 to the late Peter and Marie Olivola, she lived in Mendham, New Jersey for many years before moving to Hillsboro Beach, Florida in the late 1970's. She moved to Hermitage, Tennessee in Oct. of 2008 to live near her daughter. Mrs. Cillo was a homemaker for most of her life. Her family will remember her as a loving, supportive wife, mother, and grandmother, who gave unconditional love throughout all of their life challenges. She fulfilled a life long dream by returning to visit Italy with her immediate family in 2006. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony in 1986; also by her sister, Jeannette Olivola DiFiore, and 2 brothers, Guerin Olivola and Joseph Olivola. Survivors include one daughter Elizabeth Cillo and her husband Charles Davenport of Hermitage TN; one son Robert D. Cillo and his wife Janet of Longmont, CO; and 4 grandchildren: Nissa Cillo of Austin, TX; Cody Cillo of Denver, CO; Matthew Bures of Harrisonburg, VA; and Gregory Bures of Charlottesville, VA. She is also survived by a special friend Olive Davenport of Nashville, TN. Visitation will be held on Friday Sept. 11, 2009 (2pm - 4pm and 7pm - 9pm) at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph R.C.Church, West Main St., Mendham on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Church Cemetery next to the church.
