Obituary of Judith Labate-Krum
Judith Labate-Krum passed away on August 23, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center. She was 76. Born in Brooklyn, NY she lived in Franklin Lakes, Long Island and Madison NJ before moving to Morris Township 25 years ago. She received an Associate in Applied Science Degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1959 and later a Bachelors of Arts degree from Fordham University in 1981. Judy owned the Stitching Bee in Chatham for 30 years before retiring in 2015. She was a longtime volunteer of the Community Soup Kitchen in Morristown.
She will be remembered as a loving wife who enjoyed her Knitting and Needlepoint craft for pleasure. She also enjoyed photography and combined that enjoyment with frequent pleasure drives through New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Eastern New York. She loved taking these photos and reworking them on her computer. She loved dogs and has always had a pet dog nearby.
She is survived by her husband Dale Krum.
A memorial service will be held at the Hilltop Presbyterian Church in Mendham on Sat., Sept. 24, 2016 at 10 am.
