Obituary of Carmela Sessa

Carmela Sessa (nee Carullo) of Bridgewater passed away suddenly on June 29, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center. She was 91. Born in Staten Island she lived in Saddle Brook, Pompton Lakes, and Clearwater, FL before moving to Bridgewater 8 years ago. Her loving husband of 69 years, children and grandchildren were her world and she spent each and every day making sure they knew just how special they were to her. Millie and Bill were 2 hearts that bonded as one. They used to love dancing the night away to their special song "Let It Be Me" by the Everly Brothers. A consummate mother and homemaker, Carmela (often referred to as "Millie" or "Mom-Mom", was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. One signature favorite amongst her children and grandchildren were the "Nanny" Cookies. You could always tell when Millie was happy because she would be singing. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many. Her never-ending love, support, laughter and humor will never be forgotten. She is survived by her husband Bill Sessa, two sons Paul Sessa (Sandy) of Chester and Mark Sessa of Bedminster. She is also survived by two sisters Mimi Smith of FL and Anette Russo of Toms River and her five grandchildren Olivia, Ronald, Daniel, Brianna and Mark. Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 5 2016 form 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main St. Peapack.
