Obituary of Gregory L. Alpaugh

Peapack – Gregory L. Alpaugh, 58, passed away suddenly at home on June 22, 2016. Born in Philadelphia to Lewis and Eleanor (Simpson) Alpaugh, he was a resident of Raritan before moving to Peapack-Gladstone Borough. Greg was an accomplished musician, particularly enjoying the bass guitar. His friends and family were empowered by his positive outlook on life, and his ability to overcome obstacles which life presented to him. He was best known for his magnetic personality and helping to improve the lives of others with his positive attitude. He was a social services worker for the Matheny School in Peapack, and had worked there for over 27 years. In addition to his parents, Greg is survived by his brother Geoff, his two sisters, Liz Gonzales and Amy Attanasio, two nieces, three nephews, and many, many friends. Funeral arrangements are by the Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main Street, Peapack, NJ 07977 (908) 234-0590. Memorial visitation will be held at the Bailey Funeral Home on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. A Memorial Service to celebrate Greg’s life will be held at 6:30 PM on Monday, June 27, at the funeral home.
