Elaine was one of those people that when you met her, you felt this radiance of energy. She did things with gusto and she had a wonderful will that was simply infectious. I will so miss her smile and the warmth she always had for you as a person. Now god gets one of his greatest allies at his side.

We thank God for our memories of Elaine, and are so sad to hear this sudden news. It causes us to think hard what God has in store for each of us. When we arrived in NY city in 2004, knowing nobody, Elaine and Roger welcomed us out of the crowd at Redeemer church, and went out of their way to help us settle in. Elaine became like a sister to Kayoko, attending our children's weddings in Engladn, praying for us all and encouraging us. She was always an ambassador for Christ wherever she went, and through time separated us by distance, she always rang at just the right time ! The last time was only two weeks ago. Elaine was always concerned for her family and we pray for them now in their loss and especially for Roger. With Christian love from John and Kayoko Batchelor

Elaine was a very special person. She was loving, compassionate, considerate, gracious and kind. She was also smart and had a great sense of humor. She loved her family and she loved the Lord with whom she is now. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The world lost an amazing spirit. RIP Elaine. I am so grateful that I got to see her over the past 17+ years. I will always remember you dancing your heart out with Roger at my wedding. You will be missed.
