Obituary of Gloria Fernandez

Chester Township – Gloria Fernandez passed away at Little Brook Nursing Home in Califon on Monday, March 28, 2016 after a short illness. She was 88. Born in Cuba, she came to the United States with her husband, Manuel Fernandez, in 1957. Later they moved to Spain and returned to the United States in 1979. Gloria and her husband lived in many different places, including Puerto Rico. Everywhere they went they made everlasting friendships. Gloria was a resident of Somerset, NJ for the last seven years. Gloria was a homemaker and avid golfer. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, creativity, and her positive outlook on life despite the many adversities she faced. Survivors include her daughter Leyla and husband Leonardo Hernandez, two sons Manuel Adrian Fernandez and Omar Fernandez and wife Teresa, her sister Leila Ferran, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
