Obituary of Elizabeth H. Dillon

Elizabeth Hardenbergh Dillon, 95 Long-time Somerset Hills Resident Elizabeth H. Dillon, 95, died on Saturday, Jan 23, 2016 peacefully in Morristown Memorial Hospital. Born in NYC, a graduate of Chapin School in NY and a long-time resident of the Somerset Hills of NJ. She was on the Peapack/Gladstone Council and the first athletic coach at Purnell School. She also volunteered for 50 yrs at Morristown Memorial Hospital & became coordinator of the volunteers. She is survived by her 3 children; Betsy Cowperthwaite, Margery Turpin & John Dillon; 8 grandchildren; Libby Schmittdiel, Sean Cowperthwaite, Wendy Fryer, Terri Fraser, Barbara Howard, John Turpin, James Dillon, Jonathan Dillon; 11 great grandchildren; PJ Schmittdiel, Megan & Zach Fryer, Sammie & Charlie Howard, Jacob & Tyler Friedberg, Eliza & Macey Turpin, John & Lucy Cowperthwaite. Mrs. Dillon (Nonie) will always be remembered for her ever caring love she had for her family and friends. She will be truly missed. Arrangements were private at the request of the family.
