Obituary of Louis P Moglia, Jr.

Louis P. Moglia, Jr. surrounded by his family, passed away at Morristown Medical Center after a brief illness on January 13, 2016. Born in White Plains, NY to Louis and Louise Moglia, he spent much of his life in Morristown before moving to Mendham in 1978. He also spent many happy summers in Seaside Park, NJ. In 1967, Lou and his brother Joe formed a partnership known as Epic Builders, and built many homes in the Mendham area, before focusing on the business of commercial real estate management in Morristown. Lou loved his work and was proud of the business he built and never considered retirement. A man of deep faith, Lou was a longtime member of St. Joseph Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid reader, and also enjoyed planting and tending to his vegetable garden and taking his dogs for long walks in the woods. His family will remember him as a loving and committed husband and father, and a doting grandfather who loved nothing more than watching his nine grandchildren play in his Mendham yard or on the beaches of Seaside. Louis is survived by his wife of 45 years Margaret (Marge) Moglia, his brother Joseph of Califon, NJ, his children, Susan Crucs and her husband John, of South Orange, NJ, Louis P. Moglia of Mendham, NJ, and Ann Marie Sather and her husband, Matthew, of Trumbull, Ct., and his grandchildren, Sophia, Beatrice and John Crucs, Jordana, Jacob and Juliette Moglia, and Mary, Abby and Catherine Sather. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 17, 2016, from 1- 5pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Road, Mendham, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 18, 2016, at 11 AM at St. Joseph Church, Mendham, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph School 6 New Street, Mendham, NJ 07945, The Mendham Borough First Aid Squad PO Box 131, Mendham, NJ, 07945 or the charity of your choice.
