Obituary of Marion Dean Peterson

Marion Dean Peterson passed away peacefully on Dec. 18, 2015. She was 91 years young! Born in Clifton, NJ she lived in Chatham, Montclair, Short Hills and New Bern, NC before moving back to New Jersey four years ago. She was a 1945 graduate of the College of William & Mary and was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Marion was the Finance Director of the Girl Scouts of Essex County and the Executive Director of the Hudson County region before retiring in 1982. Prior to that she was the first female President in the wool industry in NYC working for C.S. Lounsbury. Her family will remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother who cherished her family above all else. She is survived by one son Stuart Dean of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, one daughter Elizabeth Hull of New Jersey; and four grandchildren; Kristen Lowman, Baird and Colin Hull, and Benjamin Dean. She is also survived by three great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in May of 2016.
