Obituary of Frances Fettner

Frances W. Fettner passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2015 at her Skytop, PA home. She was 101. She was born in New York City to Henry & Frances Wilkens. After graduating from NYU, with a masters in education, she married Joseph M. Fettner and they moved to Interlaken, NJ. She taught home economics at Asbury Park HS until retiring. In 1981, she and Joe moved to Skytop, PA where she was active in the Skytop community. She will be remembered for her generosity and speaking her mind. Frances was predeceased by her husband Joe and her daughter Penny Kopcsik. She is survived by her three grandchildren, Jonathan Kopcsik and his wife Paige, Mila Kopcsik and Jeremy Kopcsik and his wife Kara; three great-grandchildren, Holden, Jordan and Griffin; her son-in-law Dr. David Kopcsik; and family friend Andrea Jones who helped her to maintain her independence and to whom the family is eternally grateful.
