Obituary of Cosmo D. Mastropaolo, Jr.

Cosmo D. Mastropaolo, Jr. died suddenly on Nov. 19. 2015 at his home in Philadelphia. He was 44. Born in Brooklyn, NY he lived in Chelsea, NY and Mountain Lakes before moving to Philadelphia in 2011. Cosmo was a 1989 graduate of Xavier High School, NY where he served as class president. He received his B.A. Degree from Canisius College in 1993. He was a member and past President of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity New York Lambda Chapter at Canisius College. Cosmo was a Publicist in the Public Relations Department at MTV for several years. He was also an active volunteer at the American Cancer Society and Meals on Wheels both in Philadelphia. His family will remember him as a loving son, brother grandson and uncle who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, travel, music and the arts. He is survived by his parents Cosmo, Sr. and Mary Ann Mastropaolo of New Vernon; one sister Anna Marie Seavey and her husband Brian of Mendham, his grandmother Sally Mastropaolo, of KY and his three nieces; Dylan, Paige and Dana. The family will receive friends on Tuesday Nov. 24, from 3-7pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. A funeral Service will be held at 6:30pm in the funeral home.
