Obituary of William V. Kennedy

William V. Kennedy passed away peacefully on November 12, 2015. He was 71. Born in the Bronx, New York to Francis and Margaret Kennedy, he lived in Bernardsville before moving to Mendham where he lived for over 30 years. He worked for Smiles Restaurant, The Black Horse, the Village Flower Shop and for 18 years at Sammy's Ye Old Cider Mill. Bill will be remembered as a fun loving and caring man who always had a wink and smile and a joke to make everyone laugh. He loved life, his family and friends, the Chicago Cubs and Frank Sinatra. He never missed the chance to belt out any tune but especially loved singing Sinatra. He was predeceased by his brother, Tommy Kennedy. He is survived by his son, William V. Kennedy, Jr. and wife Robin of Lansing MI, his daughter Julie A. Kennedy and husband Richard Concepcion of Brick, NJ, brothers; Frank Kennedy and his wife MaryLou of Yonkers, NY, Gerard Kennedy and his wife Eileen of Brick, NJ, Kevin Kennedy, MD of Glen Ridge, NJ and his sisters; Patricia Cuneen and her husband Tommy of New City, NY, Gail McInerney and her husband John of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren; Mariah, Mikayla, Miranda, Logan and Ella and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and his good and loyal friend Gerry Molitor.
