Linda, Michael and Stephen,
Please receive my heartfelt and sincere condolence. What a brilliant, witty, intense, compassionate, generous, (did I say brilliant---way too understated), complex, rich, creative, pretty-darn-near-genius, resourceful, inventive, cool, dynamic, contemplative, intense, inspirational, radiant, brilliant light is launched August 5 2015.
I could go on ....and on. He loves you all so much (as you know).
Thank you for sharing JSF. I am aware of the blessing to know him, work with him, collaborate with him (such genius to his strategic application of law and negotiation ... to ultimate accord) and just be amazed by his quick wit.
With love from Camille B.

What can I say about John Fitzpatrick. I first met John when I went to work for Haggerty &Donohue back in 1978 and worked for him when his secretatary went on vacation. Then I went to work at Fitzpatrick Reilly Supple and Gaul in 1996 and really got to work for him on a daily basis there. He had a great sense of humor and was a very kind person. In my opinion, he was a brilliant man. He once spoke at my Legal Secretaries Association all about Title 59 which he wrote for all the Municipalities and also taught me a lot about the Law while working for him. Just recently, he visited my office and I was very happy to see him. He will be missed. Linda, my deepest sympathy is extended to you and your sons on John's passing. Please let me know when and where his service will be held. I will be very honored to attend. You can send the information at my above e-mail address.

I remember John for the influence he had on me early in my career as a civil trial lawyer. He not only was the authority on New Jersey's Tort Claims Act, but also on almost everything. I enjoyed working with him on defending civil rights cases in particular. He was thorough and articulate with an abiding sense of humor. His impersonations, in particular, were hilarious. In connection with his high standards of lawyering, he once told me, "Bill, be sure never to lure your adversary into commiting malpractice," a lesson I took to heart. In later years, we exchanged frequent email. I will miss him dearly.

We have all lost not only a dear friend and advisor, but one of the most brilliant attorneys, yet a humble and sincere person. John took pleasure in helping others and rewarded us all with a great sense of humor. Aside from his professional expertise and service to others, he was a truly devoted man to his family whom he loved dearly and didn't mind letting others know about it. Although John's light has been extinguished, he will remain in our memories. The world is a better place for John's contributions to all of us.

Sorry for your trouble. I always enjoyed the way he would poke his head into my office at FRS&G around 6:00pm and say "Can you give me a hand with getting this brief out?". Always fun to be around him. Endless supply of stories.

I remember John from Lakewood High as very vibrant and articulate fellow who always was ready to present his opinion in discussions. His distinguished career as a lawyer was certainly in the cards. I am saddened to loose E-mail contact with him from afar with his informative commentary on many topics. My condolences to his family and friends.

Linda, Michael and Stephen,
You have written a beautiful story about Johnny. He was so intelligent, kind and thoughtful and I can't believe he isn't with us anymore. He was there for me many times particularly during my teens when he and Linda would take me to dinner and let me vent about the small things that teens can associate with the end of the world.
He was devoted to researching family history and he never got tired of looking for more news to share with us. He looked for occupations, marriages, children and home towns
and brought the names to life. I will miss those stories which I enjoyed so much
I have a lot of memories from the house in Union. It was 'the' place to see friends and relatives. No reservations necessary.
I cherish the last time I got to see him in June. We had a nice visit. I had no idea it would our last one. I have always been touched by his reference to Linda as his bride. That is such a sweet endearment and says a lot about how very much he loves you.
Love, Phyllis

Linda,
I'm so sorry that you are going down a road you didn't want or choose. Even at 17, I could see that you two were best friends. I'm so grateful that we finally got back together, especially last June. I will never forget John's many kindnesses when Kay died and how he reintroduced me to the family at a time when I could see only darkness. Please do not hesitate to contact me. If I can, I will come to the memorial service to be with you and the family and meet your fine sons. You have my heart. - Ron

Johnny was so special in many ways. He was knowledgeable and shared what he learned willingly. He helped family members with advice and even went out of his way to help a good friend of mine. His heart was warm and boundless.
Johnny was so very good to me in particular. He and Linda hosted me many times on my trips "home" and he gladly drove me around visiting, etc. He did a wonderful job in pursuing genealogy information and shared all his "finds". Unable to find his own links to Ireland, he found mine and as a result I have met and visited some wonderful cousins there.
Intellectually I know he's gone but he will forever live on in my heart and amongst my memories.
