Obituary of Dorothy Harrison

Dorothy (Dotty) Louise Harrison, 88 departed this life on Friday, July 17, 2015. Dotty was a long time resident of Maplewood, NJ. Born in Shreveport LA, Dotty was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Leehan) Harrison. Dotty attended Columbia H.S. and Bucknell University where she graduated in 1948. She majored in Political Science and was president of her sorority. Dotty chose a career in Human Resources and was a long time employee of Deloitte, retiring in 1988. Dotty was a member of Wyoming Presbyterian Church. She participated in bible studies and in the bag lunch program, always providing the brownies. Dotty had a special connection with her church and was devoted to spiritual readings. Dotty enjoyed traveling; especially her annual treks to Cape Cod with whale and bird watching always being a highlight. Dotty was a golfer and an avid golf and tennis fan. Golf and tennis tournaments were always on the TV and "Breakfast at Wimbledon" became a family tradition. Dotty is survived by four nephews: W. David Ripley, wife Marge, from Highland, MD, Steven Ripley, from Palm Coast, FL, Robert Caldwell, wife Lori, from Mendham, NJ and John Caldwell, wife Barbara, from Akron PA.
