I regret seeing the notice of Fred's death in today's edition of the NYTimes (April 12th). I was a class ahead of Fred at the Peck School, and we knew each other then and occasionally thereafter, both during our secondary school years on Martha's Vineyard and once by chance years later at a golf outing in New Jersey. I always considered Fred a friend, and I am distressed at his passing.
I want to express my sincere condolences to Ann and the family.
