Obituary of Frances Marie Hildreth
Frances "Fawn" Marie Hildreth
It is with a sad heart that we bid farewell to our beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, Frances "Fawn" Marie Hildreth. Fawn died on March 2, 2015 at her home in Oldwick , New Jersey, in the loving care of her daughter, Frances "Franny" Hildreth, her sister Valerie, and her cherished Jack Russells.
Born on February 19, 1955 in East Orange, NJ, Fawn was the youngest of John Edward and Frances (Campbell) Chuhinko's five children. Well educated, Fawn attended Deerfield Academy and Rosariam Academy in Palm Beach. Later, she graduated pre-law at Vassar College. Fawn went on to be the assistant to the president at Estee Lauder.
Fawn married the late HasketHildreth in an intimate ceremony in Maine. Fawn's greatest joy was the birth of her daughter, Frances, in September of 1992.
Fawn had been a member of the Essex Hunt Club, the Penn Club in New York City and was an active member of the Church of Saint Brigid/Saint Elizabeth parish where she taught CCD classes.
Fawn was extremely intelligent, creative, and had a deep inner strength. Although cancer destroyed her body, Fawn's mind was sharp and she kept her sense of humor, faith, and aloving heart until the very end.
Fawn is now embraced in arms of her late parents and is survived by her daughter, Franny, and her siblings; John Francis "Chuck" Chuhinko, Winifred "Winnie" Mortenson, Valerie Levanchy and Mark Chuhinko. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and many dear friends. A private viewing for family was held on March 4, 2015. A memorial service to honor Fawn's life will be announced.
