She was my Aunt Mary. I remember her from when I was a very little girl, She was sweet and demure and kind. That is how I remember her. It was so nice having an Aunt like her. I remember her 7 floor walk up apartment in West New York, climbing the stairs and when we got to her door everyone was huffing and puffing but I loved visiting her and Uncle George and occasionally I got to see my cousin Carolyn who was in nursing school at the time. I remember Carolyn's freshly washed and starched nurses cap stuck to the front of the fridge so it would dry flat before she folded it to wear. We knew it was time to go when Uncle George walked into the living room in his pajamas winding up his alarm clock to get up early for work the next day. Just a subtle hint I'd say. We all got a big laugh from it.
I didn't know when she had passed away but wanted to say something nice about her. Having Aunt Mary and Uncle George in my life made my childhood happier than it already was.
