Mary was my friend, we first met when we were both just starting out on adulthood, I was 16, Mary was 15 years old and we’ve been friends ever since. 35 years have passed quickly and no matter how long we were apart we always picked up as if we had just met the week before.
Mary was always more late, generous, brave, intelligent, beautiful, funny and loved than she believed herself to be.
George, whom she loved deeply, was always a true gentleman and treated her like the lady she was. Their joy at the arrival of Lily was something to see, they both adore their daughter.
I am truly heartbroken that Mary is gone from us and will miss out on a future with her George & Lily. I will always remember Mary as that 15 year old girl with the world at her feet and a spring in her step rushing to meet the world. It was a true honor and pleasure being a part of Mary’s journey through life, I will miss her greatly.
